My microsoft word isn't working?noton
Hello Keeli:
If your laptop is like most every other one I've seen, the Microsoft license key on the bottom of your computer is for the operating system (Vista or XP), not for any of the Microsoft Office products, like Word. You probably have a 30-day trial period on your Word that comes free with most new computers but you won't be able to use it after the 30 days without buying a license from Microsoft.
Good luck!

The code at the bottom of your laptop is for your Windows operating system not for Word. Laptop manufacturers bundle a free trial version of Microsoft Office (Word included)with every new laptop. This free trial only lasts for a limited time (e.g. 30 days) and it stops working after that. You have to pay for your copy of MS Office to get an activation code and continue using it. Just follow the instructions of your software on how to activate your copy of MS Office.
