Or, if you have 2007, you click on the insert tab, and click on the button that looks like a line graph. It should be under the Data and to the right of the column button.

You first enter in your data.. then there is a button at the top that looks like a bar graph or pie chart. It's a lot more advanced than that, but it all depends on the data you are entering and etc.
