i have microsoft word and firefox open, and for some reason every time i hit the enter key in word it send the internet to ask.com. it just started doing this and its raelly bugging me. help?

Sounds like a problem in cookies to me.
I use Firefox and set it not to remember sites or passwords and to only allow cookies until I close firefox.
I also have it set to auto delete my browser stuff.
I hardly ever see a popup or a repeat web site nor a highhjack.
Clear your History and Cookies and see if that helps.
