On microsoft word how do you change the length of a page?

Okay, so for one of my projects I'm creating a book, but I can't use a whole sheet of computer papaer. How can I edit microsoft words format, so what I type will only go to half of a sheet of computer paper, and then switch to another sheet, extc.?

I would do this:

1. Click on the File-%26gt;Page Setup menu item.

2. Set the Bottom margin to 5.5 inches (assuming 8 1/2 x 11 paper).

3. Click OK.

That should do it.

Go to page setup and adjust the margins so that only a certain amount of the page is used.
file %26gt;%26gt; page setup
If you want the page break to come in the middle of the page, insert a page break at that point. Then when it reaches the page break it will go to a new sheet of paper.

Choose menu - Insert %26gt; Break %26gt; pagebreak.

Sort of a waste of paper, but that's how you do it.
Just like Spoil3d_brat said... File, Page Setup, and then you can.....

Change the top and bottom margins to force a page

or

You can click on the 'Paper' tab and, if you don't see anything you like in the 'Paper Size' dropdown, Click on the "User Defined Paper Size" and make your own.

or

If you just absolutely HATE the whole 'Page Setup' thing, you can always type as far as you want...

Click on 'Insert', 'Page Break', and start on the next page.

Have fun!!
