Need Microsoft Window XP Home Edition version 1.1 for old Gateway 300 Series Desktop.?

I have an old (2002) Gateway 300 Series Desktop computer. I need the Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition version 1.1 start-up CD. I doubt this will work but thought I would ask if anyone knew a site I could download it from. I guess I will end up buying one. Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

Try xubuntu, its not Windows, but it is legally free.

If you only plan to keep it for a short time then you can use the short term support one, I think it's supported for about 18 months.

In both cases you might want to choose the link "64-bit PC (AMD64) desktop CD". I think its made especially for older PCs

In order to burn it to CD, you will need an ISO burner. Don't worry, this program makes it simple

After you downloaded the ISO recorder and installed it, it will be nowhere to be found except in your add and remove programs; don't worry about it. After you download Xubuntu just right click on the CD image and choose something like burn to CD, or Create ISO image (burn at about 12 times speed for best results).
