In microsoft word when i highlight something and hit back space, it doesnt do anything. I have to hit delete. It gets really annoying. when i highlight something and want to type over it doesnt erase. PLZ HELP!

This is a Word option setting:

1.Click on the Tools-%26gt;Options menu item.

2.Click the Edit tab.

3.Under Editing Options, check the check box next to "Typing replaces selection".

4.Click OK.

That should do it.

You can experiment with the little "OVR" (overtype) button at the bottom of the screen. Personally, I prefer if off, but maybe you feel otherwise.
